Esther was born about 1810. She is the daughter of Richard Bowles and Elizabeth Ambrose.
Ester (age 17) married John Openshow on 1 Apr 1822 in South Africa.[1]
1820 British Settler Esther Bowles 11, together with her parents and 8 siblings, were members of William Menezes' Party of 51 Settlers on the Weymouth.
Party originated from Kent.
Departed London, 7 January 1820. Arrived Table Bay, Cape Town on 16 April 1820. Final Port - Algoa Bay, Port Elizabeth 15 May 1820. Area Allocated to the Party : Reitfontein then Kareiga River

Then Edward Amoss/ Henry Amos reappeared, so she returned to him. They had four more children before he died. Then Elizabeth married Richard Bowles and had five more children. [2]
