Isabella was the daughter of Matthew Boynton of Yorkshire. Her birth date is estimated, based on the date of her first marriage and the death of her father.[1]
She married, as his second wife, Wentworth Dillon, 4th earl of Roscommon, on 9 November 1674 in London.[2] He died there on 17 January 1685, leaving all of his estates in in County Meath to Isabella.[3]
She married, as his second wife, Thomas Carter, MP, on 1 August 1702 in Clontarf.[4] They had no children together, but Thomas's son by his first marriage was about twelve years old at the time of their marriage.
Isabella died at their home in Hollybrook, County Dublin, on 19 August 1726. All of the estate which she had inherited then became part of the Carter family holdings.[4]
