Birth and Parents

Sir John Boys, the fifth son of William Boys and Mary Ringley (alias Ringeley) was born in 1535 at Goodnestone, Kent.[2][3][5]

Marriages and Children

Sir John was married twice. He married 1) Dorothy Pawley (1537-1576), daughter of Thomas Pawley, merchant of London in 1558 at London, England. They had one son, Roger, and one daughter, Dorothy, who both died as infants.[3][2][5]

Sir John married 2) Jane Walker (1560-1635), the daughter and co-heiress of Thomas Walker of London in 1588 at London, England.[3][2][5]There were no children from this union. This was Jane's second marriage. She married first Danyell (Daniel) Bond (1551-1586), the son of William and Margaret (Aldy) Bond.

Death and Burial

Sir John Boys, MP, Kt, died on 28 August 1612 in his 77th year at Canterbury, England.[2][3][5]He was buried on 24 September 1612 in Canterbury Cathedral at Canterbury, City of Canterbury, Kent, England.[2][6]
