When Effie Isabel BRADFIELD was born on November 14, 1866, in Clumber, Eastern Cape, South Africa, her father, Thomas, was 27, and her mother, Lydia, was 20. She married Ebenezer PIKE on June 3, 1884 when she was 17 years old. They had four children during their marriage. She died on October 5, 1938, in South Africa at the age of 71, and was buried in Grahamstown, Eastern Cape, South Africa.
