Eliza Bradney was born on 18 March 1849 in Jamberoo, New South Wales, Australia [1], the daughter of John Bradney and Ademia Bryce Henry and her siblings were John Bradney, Emma (Bradney) Vidler, Matilda (Bradney) Burgess, Ann Bradney, Jane Grace (Bradney) Forster, George Harrison Bradney, Brice Henry Bradney, Unknown Bradney and William Nelson Bradney.
'Note: In some family Trees, Eliza was known "Elizabeth Matilda or Margaret" but it is uncertain where the First Names "Elizabeth Matilda or Margaret" comes in as I've not found it on any source that have either name. Her marriage registration has her name as Elena but all her children, her death registration & and her Epitaph has her name as "Eliza" only. From as young as 11 years, Eliza was publically known as "Eliza" as recorded on a court transcript when the was an inquest into the death of her baby brother[2].
Her siblings with her father's mistress (later to be his wife in 1869), Anne Louisa Nichols, were Sarah Jane (Pugh) Riley [half], John Gilbert Nichols [half], Louisa (Nichols) Hunt [half], Emma (Pugh) Hearne [half], Eliza Ellen (Bradney) King [half], Elizabeth (Bradney) Condon [half], Frederick William (Pugh) Bradney [half], Dulsie Anne (Nichols) Bradney [half], Thomas Arthur (Nichols) Bradney [half], James Walter Bradney [half] and Herbert Lindsay Bradney [half].
Eliza married William Henry Vidler on 9 June 1865 at Jamberoo, New South Wales, Australia [3]. Their children were Elizabeth Emily (Vidler) Locchi, Edwin Ernest Vidler, Matilda Grace (Vidler) Case, William John Vidler, Henry James Vidler and Edith Jane (Vidler) Case.
Eliza died on 13 June 1921 at Parramatta, New South Wales, Australia [4][5] and was buried on 16 June 1921 in the Rookwood Cemetery, Rookwood, New South Wales, Australia [6][7]. Note: Please note that, although The Sydney Morning Herald notice of death states that she died on 17 June, Eliza actually died on 13 June.
Inscription: In Loving Memory of My Dear Wife and Our Mother, Eliza Vidler, who Departed this Life June 17 1921, Aged 72. I Go To Join the Angel Band, For My Saviour Bids Me Come. To Peace and Rest at His Right Hand. To Mansions Fair, To Heaven My Home. I've Found a Friend in Jesus, He's Everthing to Me. The Fairest of Ten Thousand To My Soul.
