Private William Branch served with Virginia Line during the American Revolution.

William Scott Branch married DICY JANE CALICUTT per his DAR record. He served in the Virginia Line and drew land in the 1827 Georgia land lottery for his services during the American Revolutionary War.

William was born in 1765 in Virginia. He married his wife, Dicy Jane Callicott, in Amelia, Virginia in 28 October, 1791. He was a soldier in the Revolutionary War and drew land in Georgia in a land lottery in 1827. He and his wife had 9 children together. He passed away in Clarke County, Georgia, in 1838 in is buried in Bishop, Oconee County, Georgia.
