Joseph was born about 1740 in Findrowie, Scotland. He came into Hanover Co. VA then relocated to Albemarle County, his farm is name Findrowie after his birthplace. Married to Frances Whitlock and had 12 children.
He passed away about 1814. Served during the Rev War.
