Dora Grace Bricknell, daughter of John Herbert Bricknell (Farmer) and Grace Chilcott, was born on 12 Aug 1900, at Longford, Tasmania, Australia. ^[1]

MOIR— BRICKNELL.

On Wednesday, December 21, a pretty wedding was celebrated at the Methodist Church, Little Hampton which was prettily decorated by girlfriends of the bride, the contracting parties being Dora Grace, second oldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. H. Bricknell, Vron Farm, Bishopsbourne, to David Vernon, only son of Mr. and Mrs. D. W Moir, Launceston (late A.I.F.) ....

...The bride was attended by two bridesmaids, Miss May Moir (sister of the bridegroom), who wore a pretty frock of vieux rose voile, beautifully trimmed with a wreath of roses and black hat, a pretty bouquet of pink carnations, sweet peas, and maiden hair fern, with pink streamers; and Miss Fannie Bricknell, sister of the bride who also wore a pretty frock of vieux rose voile trimmed with silk stitching and beads, and wreath of roses and black hat, with vieux rose streamers. ....

.... The bride was attended by her niece, little Sheila Thomas as maid of honor, who carried the white satin cushion on which the bride knelt, and which was handsomely worked with silver horseshoes which was the gift of her cousin, Miss Ruby Blake. The bridegroom was suported Mr. Herbert Bricknell as best man and Mr. Syd Denny as groomsman.
