Thomas was born in/about 1831. He was the son of John Britain and in 1843 was left an orphan. [1]

In 1850, Thomas was living with his sister and her family. [2] [3]

He and Elizabeth Hines married 11 Jan 1857, in Lawrence County, Missouri. [4]

In 1910, Thomas was living in Webster County, Missouri. [5]
