Willie Brown was an American professional football player, coach, and administrator. He played as a cornerback for the Denver Broncos and the Oakland Raiders of the American Football League and later in the National Football League. Brown was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1984. [1]
William Ferdie Brown was born in Yazoo City, Mississippi in 1940. He was the son of Samuel Brown and Willie Jane Martin.[2]
He was age eleven in 1950. His father Sam Brown was age 40, employed as a nurse edge in a sawmill. His sister Bennie D Brown was age 14. His brother Sam Brown Jr. was age 13. His brother David Brown was age 12. They lived in Yazoo City.[3]
He died in 2019[2] and is buried in Tracy Mausoleum in Tracy, California.[4]
