James was born 23 Mar 1769. His parents were Charles Bruce and Martha Whyte. He was baptized 27 Mar 1769 in Dunfermline, Fife, Scotland. [1]
James was M.P. for Marlborough.
He died 9 Jul 1798, drowning while crossing the river Don in Yorkshire, England, United Kingdom. [2] He was buried 18 Jul 1798 in Barnby upon Don, Yorkshire, England. [3]
