Biography
Alson Stafford Burney was born Feb 22, 1829 in Guilford, North Carolina. He was the third child of Josiah Elzevan Burney and Jennet Stafford. His family moved to Missouri, traveling by covered wagon , about 1830. They settled in Greene County near Ash Grove. He was a Farmer. In 1850 he married Louisa M. Johns14 Mar 1850, Greene, Missouri. They had 5 Children. They were divorced after 1857 (not documented) In 1858 he married Amanda Eveline Patterson (Not Documented) . They had 8 Children. The last child was born after his death on Sept 4, 1879.
