Roland Matthew Butler was born on 21 Nov 1884[1] in Macdonald River, New South Wales, Australia as the thirteenth child of Joseph Butler and Harriet Hawkins. He had twelve siblings, namely: Frances Ann, John Thomas, Joseph, Mary Jane, Elizabeth, Emily, Matilda, Margaret Maud, Clara, William James, Henry Albert and George Edgar. He died on 19 Jan 1949[2] in Wyong, New South Wales, Australia.
