Temperance was living as of February 24, 1749 when she and her husband, Ambros(e) Ladow sold land in Simsbury, CT.
Simsbury, Hartford County, Connecticut Land Records, Book 7, pg 529
February 24, 1748/1749 - Ambros Ladow and his wife Temperance, both of Simsbury, Hartford County, Connecticut, sell land to Thomas Adams, for consideration of 20 pounds old tenor money, the eighth part of three several parcels of land lying in Simsbury aforesaid, the first parcel is ten acres lying on a certain mountain known by the name of Wm. Phelps Mountain, the second is lying in a feer of lots called the Long Lots, the third is in the second or third teer of lots which three parcels of land was granted by the inhabitant of said Simsbury to the heirs of David Buttolph of said Simsbury, deceased, exclusive of Jonathan Buttolph and is now undivided amongst said heirs, the bounds and description of said three tracts may be seen in a survey bill on Simsbury records reference being had thereto.
The last record we have of Ambrose, proven, is in 1752 when he had a judgment against him and a portion of his land was taken to repay a debt or fine. It is assumed he had already left town or left soon after, perhaps to Rombout Precinct in Dutchess County, New York where his brother Stephen (Etienne) most likely had been living for some time. An Ambrose Ladow shows up in tax records there from 1754 to 1760.
