Biography

Calogero was born in 1844 to Antonino Cacioppo and Anna Tumminello ^[1]. In 1868 at age 23, he married 16-year-old Caterina Vento ^[2]. Per his marriage record, Calogero was a farmer.

Calogero was named for his paternal grandfather, Calogero Cacioppo.
