Miranda J. Cain was born on 10 Apr 1828 in Alabama, United States, daughter of George W Cain (~1806 - ) and Mariah (Wilson) Cain (1806 - ).

Miranda married Samuel Luna Higginbottom (1827 - 1888). Their children were:
