Elizabeth Calliham born about 1757 in Lunenburg County, Virginia first married Ebenezer Starnes about 1774 in Edgefield County, South Carolina.^[1]

The will of Ebenezer Starnes has been found and not only shows the known children of Elizabeth's marriage; Elizabeth and Moses Starnes but 6 other children and also mentions Elizabeth Callihams father David Calliham by forename and surname. The children of Ebenezer and Elizabeth Starnes in order in the Will^[2] are:

1. Elizabeth Starnes. married William Phares. William filed suit to recover his wifes in heritance.
