  • LAND ENTRY BOOK-GREENBRIER CO, VA, Page 32 Survey for John Callison 1774 (next to William Callison) so probably > not born any later than 1753 and may be a little earlier if he already had land when this survey was done.
  • GENERAL INDEX TO DEEDS - GREENBRIER COUNTY, Virginia, 11 August 1786, William Callison and wife Agness Bk 1 Page 18 200 acres for 100 Pounds to John Beard. Land above Spring Creek in Clover Vale Valley. Witness: William Renic, William Brown and John Callison.
  • Greenbrier co, Va had William listed in years 1782-1784, 1787-1789, 1791, 1794 > - 1796 (2 thithables this year), 1802-1804. It is not known if these are all the same William.

  • The Gallia Co. Gen. Society published a compilation of the tax lists for Gallia Co. 1806 tax list contains the name of William Callison . The book also included a list of those individuals who were paid a bounty on wolf and/or panther scalps in 1806 and John Callison's name appears in this list for one panther scalp. He is not listed in the personal property tax list. John has a note about a rifle used in the War of 1812 that belonged to Joseph's brother John. > Roster of War of 1812 for Ohio > ROLL OF CAPT. ISAAC BUTLER'S COMPANY (County Unknown). >Served from > August 9, until October 9, 1812. William Callison, late of Gallia County, now of Kentucky held a note against Philip Graham of this county on which was due me the third November 1820 forty four dollars and eighty one cents....Callison gave the note to Bureau who paid it off and Bureau mislaid it. He is recording this to discharge Philip Graham from any responsibility to him. 5 Feb 1822. Recorded 23 Feb 1823.
