Several genealogies list Cornelius as being a son or brother of William of Salem, however, other than for sharing the same name I can’t find any link between the two.
On 3 May 1649 Cornelius sold his house with two acres of adjoining land to Samuel Lincoln, mariner, bounded by the swamp and the highway. Cornelius lived at first on Town (North) St. near Thaxter’s Bridge and later lived in the middle ward. He was constable in 1672.[1]

Late in life he resided in the middle ward, Hingham.[1]
From service in King Philip’s war either he, or his son’s, heirs were entitled to land in Narraganset No. 5, now Bedford, NH.[4]
