In 1930, Alfred (5 mo) was living at 48 A 484 St Nicholas Ave in Manhattan, New York with his parents. His father, Robert (25) was a chauffeur and his mother, Addie, (24) took care of the home and family. They rented their home for $40 a month which is $640 in today's dollars.^[1]

In 1940, Alfred (10) was living in the Bronx, New York with his mother, Addie (34), who was listed as married, head of house and working in a tobacco factory as a shipper. ^[2]

In 1960, Alfred married Patricia Hickey in Brooklyn, New York City, New York. ^[3]
