Bradford on Tone is a village and parish in Somerset; it sits roughly half-way between Taunton and Wellington. The name Bradford is undoubtedly English and shows the village to have stood in Saxon days near a broad ford, or passageway across the River Tone. Two of the bells in the St Giles church tower are dated 1450.
