The Creek Monthly Meeting was established in 1782, when it was set off from the Nine Partners Monthly Meeting, under the Purchase Quarterly Meeting. After the Separation there were two branches. The Creek Monthly Meeting (Orthodox) and the Stanford Monthly Meeting (Orthodox) which joined in 1867, becoming Stanford Monthly Meeting (Orthodox). In 1925, Stanford Monthly Meeting (Orthodox) changed its name to Clinton Corners Monthly Meeting and reportedly ceased its affiliation with the Society of Friends in 1983. The Creek Monthly Meeting (Hicksite) joined Stanford Monthly Meeting (Hicksite) in 1871, becoming Creek and Stanford Monthly Meeting. In 1876, the name of this meeting returned to Creek Monthly Meeting. In 1935, as a result of reduced membership, Creek Monthly Meeting (Hicksite) merged with the Oswego Monthly Meeting, now known as Bulls Head-Oswego Monthly Meeting.
