Category: Honour of Tickhill (or Blyth)
Categories: Early English Feudal Baronies | Tickhill, Yorkshire | Blyth, Nottinghamshire
The reference for this feudal honour (possibly a barony) is Sanders, English Baronies, p.147. There were castles at both Tickhill and Blythe, and it seems both castle names were sometimes used for the name of the honour.
This honour switched hands many times rather than being passed down through a long line of heirs. For several generations similar families and individuals were involved in the history of the Honour of Hastings.
