Vestre Toten is a parish and municipality in Oppland county, Norway. The old Toten parish was split into Østre Toten and Vestre Toten in 1825-1826. It was established as a municipality in 1838. The areas of Kolbu and Eina were separated from Vestre Toten in 1908. Eina was merged back into Vestre Toten in 1964, and at the same time Kolbu was merged into Østre Toten.
