Biography

Samuel was born in 1815. He was the son of Samuel Chapman and Desire Curtis.[1]

He married 1st Mary Trafton (1820-1848) on 12 Mar 1839 in Portland, ME.[2][3][4][5] They had three children:

Mary Chapman 1841-1841
Joseph Trafton Chapman 1843-1913
Mary Jane Chapman 1846-1883

He married 2nd Azuba Lister Poor (1827-1852) on 5 Jun 1849 in Oxford, ME.[6] They had one daughter:

Clara Poor Chapman 1852-

He married 3rd Caroline H. Barker (1829-1876) on 22 Feb 1853 in Bethel, ME.[7] They had one daughter:

Flora Elma Chapman 1858-1875

He passed away in 1872. He is buried in Woodland Cemetery in Bethel, Maine.
