He married Roxanna Austin Jennings (1822-1899) on 12 Mar 1848 in Essex, MA.[2][3] They had five children:

In 1850 they are recorded in Newry, Oxford, ME. Eliphaz is 27, a farmer, married to Roxana, 27, who was born in MA. Lucelia is 2 and Abbie is 8 months, both born in Maine, and there is also present a George (illegible, maybe McQueen? or H. G...?) age 6.
In 1855 they are recorded in Lawrence, Essex, MA. Eliphaz is a farmer, Charles was born in NH, and Irving, 3 mos., was born in MA.
They were in Newry, Oxford, ME again in 1860. E.B. Chapman was a farmer, and the four older children were attending school. In 1870 Timothy was the only child still at home.
He passed away in 1893 in New Hampshire, of cerebral apoplexy (stroke). He is buried in Walnut Grove Cemetery in Essex, MA.

1880 census still needed... there is a record in Portland, Cumberland, ME for Eliphalet B. Chapman, a produce dealer, 57, married but living alone.
