Biography

I was born in Chiengmai Thailand in 1955 of an Irish father and an American mother who was also born in Thailand. They were missionaries with WEC. I got a part of my education in Thailand at expat schools, before finishing High School and some university in U.S. After 1984, I moved back to Thailand, working there as a missionary. I married Pontip Tamma in 1998, we moved to N.Ireland in 2003 after our son was born, and we've been back and forth since then.

I have written and self published 5 full length novels, and one book of short stories. Info on that can be found on www.RobbyCharters.co.uk.

Hi Bob,

Now that you have had a little time to try WikiTree, there are a few more features you may find useful.

Ideas on what to include in a profile can be found in Styles and Standards, including some tips on writing biographies.

If you need to describe an event, an heirloom or a location relevant to your research, you may like to learn about Free Space Profiles.

Lastly, sometimes you'll run into unresponsive profile managers. We have a process for resolving those unfortunate situations.

If you have any questions, feel free to ask via my profile page.

Hi Bob,

Thank you for joining WikiTree. As a WikiTree Mentor I am available to answer any questions or help solve any issues you may be having.

How To Use WikiTree is a good place to start. It is a step-by-step-guide to WikiTree basics. Our Forum is searchable or you can post a question there. The Help Index is also an important place to find how to do most tasks.

It is very important that no duplicate profiles are created in WikiTree. Please read this page for clues on avoiding profile duplication.

Feel free to ask me via my profile page if you have any questions.

Thank you, Robert, for volunteering to help grow our worldwide family tree. Writing 5 full length novels is quite an accomplishment.

Our Honor Code, G2G message forum, help pages, search features, and many other useful links can be accessed from the menus on the upper right corner of most pages.

VERY IMPORTANT: The more documents, sources, dates, and locations you provide on the profiles you create, the stronger your branches and our mutual global tree will be. If you don't know the correct date, please estimate using before or after.

Our mission is to build a global tree with just one profile per person, so please try very hard not to add any duplicates to our shared tree.

Hope you enjoy WikiTree!

Hi, Robert. Thanks for checking out our site.

You're welcome to ask a question at G2G forum.
