Mrs. Stookey was born in London eighty-eight years ago, on March 1, 1837. When 3 years of age, she came to America with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Childs, and lived in Philadelphia. They came to Utah in 1855, and she with her husband was among the first settlers of Clover, Tooele county. She leaves five sons and one daughter.
