Biography

According to the Clapp Genealogy, Sarah Clap was born December of 1670 to Nicholas Clapp and his second wife Abigail (Sharp) Clapp. [1]

Sarah, daughter of Nicholas Clap, was baptised in 1670 in Dorchester, Suffolk, Massachusetts Bay.[2]

Sarah married Joseph Mathar on 20 June 1689 in Dorchester, Suffolk, Massachusetts Bay Colony.[3]

Sarah's daughter Lydia Mather was born on 23 October 1726 in Boston, Suffolk, Massachusetts, United States.[4]

Sarah's daughter Mary Mather was born on 28 July 1734 in Boston, Suffolk, Massachusetts Bay.[5]

She died on February 21, 1737, in Dorchester, Massachusetts, at the age of 62, and was buried in Boston, Massachusetts.

The two children listed in the bio appear incorrect for this Sarah who would have been too old. Also, according to Joseph Mather's profile he died in 1691 and could not have been their father.
