Biography

Susan (Clifford) Kent is a part of US Black heritage.

Susan was born on 18 October 1872 in Grant Township, Grant, West Virginia. She was the daughter of Isaac Clifford and Elizabeth Redman.^[1]

In 1880 Susan is recorded in the household of her parents and siblings at Grant West Virginia.^[2]

In 1920 Susan was recorded with her husband Thaddeus age 48 and nine (9) children aged 21 to 1 year old at Grant, West Virginia^[3]

When Susan died in 1952 she was recorded in her obituary published 2 November in Cumberland, Maryland as the wife of Thaddeus Kent and the mother of eight (8) children. Her sister Lucy Howard was listed as a sibling.^[4]
