Paul Clifford is a part of US Black heritage.

John Paul Clifford was born on July 1, 1882 in Martinsburg, West Virginia, son of John Robert Clifford and Mary Elizabeth Franklin.

In 1900, John P (18) was in the household of John R Clifford.

Paul (23) and Mable Grace Douglass (24) were married on June 27, 1906 in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. Their daughter was Mable Grace Clifford (~1912– ).

In 1910, Paul (28) J was living in Beatrice, Gage, Nebraska.

In 1930, John P (48) was living in Mechanicsburg, Cumberland, Pennsylvania.

In 1940, Paul (58) was living in Mechanicsburg, Cumberland, Pennsylvania.

Paul died on June 25, 1947 in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania, aged 64. He passed away at his home at 13 East Simpson Street, Mechanicsburg. Interment at the William Howard Day cemetery.

He had been an employee of the Pennsylvania Railroad for 29 years. He raised his brother Albert's son, Paul Ingraham Clifford, after Albert's death.
