- A marriage license was issued to Eliza Ann Smith and George Clinenpeel from the clerk's office of the Decatur Circuit Court on March 29, 1849. On May 7, 1849, Timothy Thomas, Justice of the Peace, certified that he married Elizabeth Smith and George Clinenpeel on April 1, 1849 in Decatur County.[1]
