Ethel Coker married William Dalton Wiley, the son of Thomas Henry Wiley and Vadie Izona Wilson, marrying in Alabama City, Alabama on December 23, 1937,[2] when Ethel was seventeen years old. They made their home in Green Hill, Alabama where, in 1940, her husband worked on a Works Progress Administration project.[3] and later in Florence, Alabama.[4] In 1950, Ethel's husband worked as a carpenter.[5] Ethel and her husband later lived in Florence, Alabama.[6][7]
Ethel Wiley passed away in Green Hill, Alabama[citation needed] at the age of 82 and is buried at Tri-Cities Memorial Gardens in Florence, Alabama.[8]
