Rebecca (Cole) (Cole) Fisk died on October 9, 1831, in Chesterfield, Massachusetts. Her death record states "Mrs. Fisk relict of Josiah Fisk and formerly wife of Amariah Cole deceased October 9th, 1831." [4]. This record indicates that Rebecca had married again after Amaziah Cole had died (in 1816), to Josiah Fisk, who had likewise predeceased her. Employing this trace, his identity appears to have been Josiah Fisk (1745-1826), widower of Elizabeth (Morse) Fisk (1753-1813). His online memorial site corroborates this secondary spousal relationship for Rebecca, and the third for Mr. Fisk [5].
Notes
FAG online memorial site for Amaziah, in its caption, states that Amaziah was 6th Generation descendant of James, and Rebecca was 5th generation descendent of James [6]. History & Genealogy of the Families of Chesterfield, p. 98 is listed on FAG.
