Floretta Rouse Collings was born on July 3, 1874, in York, New Brunswick, Canada. She was the daughter of Charles Collings and Lydia Jones,her father, Charles, was 25, and her mother, Lydia, was 28. She married Hiram George Wade on 10 June 1891 in Marysville, York County, New Brunswick, Canada. They had ten children in 14 years. She died on February 16, 1929, in New Brunswick, Canada, at the age of 54^[1][2][3]
