Biography
Mahala was born about 1815 to John Collins and Mahala Sehorn. She was married to Matthew W Pait AKA Pate on 5 Nov 1839 in Morgan County, Alabama.
In 1850 the family was recorded in Somerville, Morgan County, Alabama, as follows:
Matthew W Pait 32 Mahala P Pait 35 Mary E Pait 10 Sarah F Pait 8 Martha E Pait 5 Parmelia Pait 3 Catharine Pait 2 William E W Pait 1
It is likely she passed away before 1860, inferred from the fact she is not found in the 1860 census, and her children are living with their sister Mary Eliza.
