Hair-922 and Hair-863 appear to represent the same person because: Clearly the same man. I wil cleanup and improve after merge.

This profile is incorrectly conflated with a man named James CONARD from North Carolina who apparently married a woman named Elizabeth Beasley. Elizabeth Coonrod appears in census records. She lived in Haywood, N.C. in 1850 with children John, James, and William. The CONARD family has nothing to do with the Cherokee CONRAD family so somehow the two families need to be separated.

Conrad-1326 and Hair-863 appear to represent the same person because: There are discrepancies, but clearly meant to be the same man. The children of Hair Conrad followed Cherokee practice of the time and used their father's given name as their surname. All of Hair Conrad's children used "Hair" as a surname.

James Hair is NOT the father of the "Conard" family. Hair CONRAD was his father. Cherokee children at this point in time used their father's given name as their surname. His children were Catherine, Nicholas, Samuel, John, Elizabeth, Margaret, Aramiinta, James, Jesse and Solomon HAIR. His wives were Sarah Davis, Susannah Reese, and Nellie Robertson or McGee.
