Edward was born in Sydney, Australia in 1904 to an english father and an australian mother.
In 1911 he was living with his parents and siblings in Bladon, Woodstock, Oxfordshire. [1]
He first married Leonora Mary Johnson (who was known professionally as Nora Swinburne) in 1934. [2] However this first marriage had broken down by 1938.
Secondly he married Renee Torres Alegria (formerly Osterman) in Mexico in 1943. [3]
He died in San Diego in 2000. [4]
