Marriage

Roger is shown in the attached pedigree as having m. the "heiress of Tasley", becoming the Lord of Tasley ... [1]

Barons of Caus

Everard was the third of nine barons of Caus. The relationships between some of them are not completely clear:

  1. Roger Fitz Corbet, First Baron of Caus
  2. William Corbet, son of Roger, Baron of Caus
  3. Ebrard Corbet, brother of William, Baron of Caus
  4. Roger Corbet, who may be the son of William, Baron of Caus
  5. Robert Corbet, son of Roger, Baron of Caus or perhaps Simon
  6. Thomas Corbet, son of Robert, Baron of Caus
  7. Peter Corbet, son of Thomas, Baron of Caus
  8. Peter Corbet, son of Peter, Baron of Caus
  9. John Corbet, brother of Peter, Last Baron of Caus

Roger Corbet II, succeeded Ebrard Corbet as Baron of Caus. Roger's relationship with Ebrard is not certain. [2]

1155 Seige of Brug

Roger was in attendance on Henry II at the seige of Brug in the summer of 1155. [2]

1165 Payments to Garrison

The period during which he held Caus Castle, was by no means a peaceful one on the border; and we learn fom the sheriff of Worcestershire's account, that in 1165, he had paid £14 11s 8d to the soldiers or garrison of Chaus. [2]

1175 Death

He died in 1175.

Augusta Corbet's Pedigree of the Barons of Caus shows Roger Fitz-Corbet, Domesday Baron of Caus, ob.
