SERVICES HELD WEDNESDAY FOR GEORGE COULTER - George Coulter, 50, for the past six years property custodian for Springfield Water Company, died unexpectedly of a heart attack at 3 o'clock Monday morning, January 8, 1962, at the family home on Booker Road. He had not previously suffered from a heart ailment. Surviving are his wife, the former Minnie Hill; three sons, Boyd, Jerry and Georgie Coulter, all of Washington County; two daughters, Mrs. Donald Phillips and Miss Joyce Coulter, Springfield; one brother, Chester Coulter; two sisters, Mrs. Hobert Hill, Springfield, and Mrs. Edd Coulter, Bloomfield, and two grandchildren. The son of William and Lula Mattingly Coulter, Mr. Coulter was born in Marion County, but for the past thirty years had been a resident of this county. He was a member of the Baptist Church. The funeral, conducted by the pastor, the Rev. James D. Hopkins, was held in Springfield Baptist Church at 2 P.M. Wednesday, interment following on Cemetery Hill, Carey & Son having charge of the funeral and burial service. Honorary pallbearers were Billy Goatley, Joe and Jimmie Wheatley, John, Raney and Robert Wood Hall, Tommy Spalding and Billy Parrott. Six nephews served as casket bearers. Buried, 1-10-1962, in Cemetery Hill, Washington Co., Ky.
