Biography

Research Notes

  • He marries Alpha Mae Baldwin on 10 Aug 1911. The marriage record shows his parents as John T. Courson and what looks like "Letitia" Woodworth, but it has been transcribed as "Teina."[1] I'm not sure where "Mary Louise" came from. -- Fiscus-32 04:02, 3 October 2018 (UTC)
  • He is listed as "Neil" Courson in the 1920 Census, and his wife's name is given as Alpha rather than Althea.[2]
  • In the 1930 Census, the family is still in Knox County, Illinois; however, Cornelius (a.k.a. "Neil") is listed as "Dee," and his place of birth is now given as Oklahoma rather than Kansas. His wife is still Alpha, and several of the children are the same as in the 1920 Census.[3]
  • In 1940, he is listed in his son's household as "Dee" again. He is also divorced from Alpha.[4]
