Margaret (known as Peg) was born in Murray Bridge, South Australia during 1909. She is the daughter of Percy Cowan and Margaret Jones. She passed away in North Adelaide, South Australia during 1990.

Margaret served in the Australian Army during the Second War. She enlisted in Adelaide, South Australia on 21 May 1940. She was discharged with the rank of Lieutenant in the Australian Army Nursing Service on 29 January 1941.[2]
Margaret died in North Adelaide, South Australia on 18 September 1990.[3]
Margaret was buried at Centennial Park Cemetery in Pasadena, South Australia on 22 September 1990.[3]
