Biography

Percy (also known as Percival) was born in Islington, South Australia during 1877. He is the son of Thomas Cowan and Mary Jane Armstrong.

Percy was born in Islington, South Australia on 14 September 1877 to Thomas Cowan and Mary Jane Armstrong.^[1]

Percy married Margaret Harkes Jones in Adelaide, South Australia on 21 September 1906.^[2]

After Margaret's death in 1924, Percy married Olive Potts nee Rumble in Adelaide, South Australia on 27 March 1943.^[3] The following marriage notice was published in the South Australian newspaper, The Advertiser, on 3 April 1943:^[3]

COWAN—POTTS.—March 27. at Mildmay Hall, Pirie st, Percy C. Cowan; son at the late Mr.-Mrs. Thomas Cowan, Islington, to Olive, daughter late Mr.- Mrs. Rumble, Western Australia. Mr. A. E. Erskin officiated.

Percy died in North Adelaide, South Australia on 25 September 1957 at the age of 80 years.^[4]

Percy was buried at the West Terrace Cemetery in Adelaide, South Australia.^[5]
