Notes for DELIVERANCE COX: Deliverance Kittrell, a direct ancestor of the Greene County Kittrells, was the daughter of Joseph and Rosanna Weeks Cox. Joseph Cox's Will of August 23, 1772 (Will Book 1, Page 40, Hyde County, North Carolina mentions his daughter, Deliverance, and his grandson, Joseph Kittrell. Rosanna widow of Joseph Cox, married Thomas Gaylord. Her Will mentions her daughter. Deliverance Kittrell (Hyde County North Carolina, Vol 1, part 2 Page 714).
