Jessie and Walter lived many years in Affton, Missouri, where she taught school, having graduated from Eastern Illinois Teachers College, Charleston, Illinois. She and Walter were founding members of the Affton Christian Church, Affton, Missouri. Later in life, they moved to Ankeny, Polk, Iowa. Once there, they attended the Ankeny First United Methodist Church. Jessie is buried in the Rest Haven Memorial Gardens, Mattoon, Illinois.[1]
