Janie (Creekmur) Boitnott was born in Kentucky.

Serilda Jane Creekmur was born 2 September 1875, in Caldwell County, Kentucky, United States.^[1] Later in life, she preferred the name Janie. She was the daughter of Louis Creekmur and Mary Dunbar.^[2]

She was first married to William A. Dorr on 3 February 1895 in Caldwell County, Kentucky.^[3][4] They were the parents of two children:

1. Dora Altha Dorr, died young
2. William E. Dorr

She married George Washington Boitnott on 20 July 1899 in Caldwell County, Kentucky. It was the second marriage for both.^[5] They were the parents of four known children.

Serilda Janie (Creekmur) Boitnott, age 60, died 21 November 1935 in Princeton, Caldwell, Kentucky, and was buried at Liberty Cumberland Presbyterian Church Cemetery in Princeton.^[1][6]
