Biography
Rosie Brannen Crowell
CROWELL Rosie Brannen Crowell, age 91 entered her heavenly home on Saturday, January 31, 2009. She was born on October 12, 1917. Rose was a 26 year resident of Penny Farms Retirement Center. She was predeceased by her husband of 34 years, Seth F. Brannen and her son Buddy Brannen.
She is survived by her husband of 34 years, Jack Crowell and her children: Rosalyn (Jake) Crabtree, Steve (Pat) Brannen and Stanley Mark (Vicki) Brannen, daughter-in-law, Charlotte Brannen; 10 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren. Rosie was one of 11 children of Corbitt and Mattie Crews and is survived by her sisters, Crecie Rhoden, MacClenny, Mavis Griffis, Glen St. Mary and brother, Eugene Crews, Birmingham, AL. Seth and Rose Brannen were two of the founding members of Faith Memorial Baptist Church in 1958.
She loved the Lord, her family and her church and will be greatly missed until we join her. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in her memory to Faith Memorial Baptist Church, 6731 Ramona Boulevard, Jacksonville, FL 32205. Family and friends will visit on Tuesday, February 3, 2009 from 6 until 8 PM and services will be held on Wednesday, February 4, 2009 at 11:00 AM BOTH at Faith Memorial Baptist Church. Her pastors, Bob Anderson and James Branch officiating. Her family extends heartfelt gratitude to the entire staff of The Pavilion and Beyer House at PRC for their exemplary love and care of our parents.
