Biography

Sarah (Crossman) Powell was born in the Colony of New South Wales (1788-1900)

Sarah Crossman, was born in Sydney, New South Wales on 17 December 1853, the daughter of George Crossman and Ann Shervey.^[1][2] She was the eldest of 12 children.^[3] Sarah Crossman was baptised on 15 January 1854, probably at Sofala, NSW.^[2]

Married Life

Sarah Crossman, daughter of George Crossman and Ann Shervey, married John Powell, son of Robert Powell and Ann Fields, on 11 March 1878. The marriage was registered at Orange, NSW.^[4] They had eight children: Jessnia; Sarah; Mabel; Robert; Frances; Beatrice; Arthur; and Gertrude.

Widowhood

Sarah's husband, John, passed away in 1902.

Sarah Powell (Crossman) passed away of 9 May 1934. Her death was registered at Parramatta.^[5] She was survived by at least
