Biography

Thomas de Crue was born circa 1229 [his oldest son, Thomas jnr, was dead by 1293 at which time Thomas jnr's oldest daughter, Joan, was 22 years old,^[1] so if he was 21 when Thomas jnr was born and Thomas jnr was 21 when Joan was born then 1293-22-21-21=1229].

Thomas de Crue, Kt, married Margaret, the daughter of William de Malpas, Kt, during the reign of Edward I [king of England from 1272-1307].^[2]

In 42-43 Edward III [1368-70], at Chester, Robert de Fulleshurst or Fouleshurst and his wife, Elizabeth, sued Thomas, son of David de Crue, and his wife, Agnes, for land in Whitepulle, which during the time of Edward I [king of England from 1272-1307], William de Malpas, Kt, gave to Thomas de Crue, Kt, in marriage with Margaret, his daughter, giving the following descent:^[2]
