Biography

Edith Daisy Daniel was born on February 17, 1897, at Pittsworth, Queensland, Australia. She was a daughter of Ebenezer Daniel and Elizabeth Leigh ("Leah" or "Tilly") Neale Daniel.

On April 10, 1917, Edith married Francis John ("Frank") Houston somewhere in Queensland (and perhaps at Pittsworth but this is currently unconfirmed). They were to have three children by 1927.

The Australian electoral rolls show Edith to have been living at

• Scrubby Mountain, Pittsworth, Queensland (in 1925)
• Brookstead, Pittsworth, Queensland (in 1930)
• 72 George Street, Mackay, Queensland (from 1949 to 1963)

Edith is said to have passed away on March 21 or 22, 1971, at Mackay, Queensland, Australia. She was buried at Mackay City Cemetery. It is possible that she died on March 21 and was buried the following day (on March 22, 1971), but we are unable to confirm this.
